More Needle Felted Pokemon

For a while, I've made some more needle felted Pokemon. I've meant to photograph them outside in a natural environment, but the Vancouver weather isn't cooperating. So I had to make one of those photo boxes.

Here's a Snivy. In order to create the curvy shape of the Pokemon, I've used more of the leftover floral wire and then needle felt the feet in order to make it stand up on its own. I created a leaf-shaped stencil out of cardboard to make the leaf at the end of the tail. Since I don't have the particular colored roving for the belly part, I mixed some gold and white roving together.

Here's a Piplup. I had to blame one of my co-workers for giving me the idea after I saw the needle felted penguin she made.

After finally buying the right shade of gray roving, I've made a Timburr. As you had noticed in the picture, I propped it onto my deck of cards because unlike the other Pokemon I've made, Timburr cannot stand on its own despite the wire support I've used. It just took me a while to figure out how to create the plank that Pokemon was known to carry around. From a Japanese needle felting book I've came across, they showed that using a box lid creates the squarish shape. Sadly, I've realized I forgot to needle felt the veins onto the head. Xo(

That's all for now. I'll post more of them soon.
