Thanks, dude. And if you're the God of the Manga, does that put me in charge of the divine essence that is Dragonfly, lump sum? ^_~
As he said, it does have oriental elements. But when you get down to brass tacks, it has American, English, Japanese, Chinese, German, Scottish, Irish, Aztec, Arabic, Egyptian, Russian, African, Greek, and Parisian influences. Gotta keep in mind, I'm a bit of a history and mythos nut.
The genre is high fantasy adventure with spots of drama, the style is proposed to be in a similar light as the Naruto series. The time period is the "middle ages" period for every country involved there-in. The setting is a custom-made world of my own devices named Ramana. Yeah, I finally decided on a name for the world, guys. It's an old name for an old world from an old and failed attempt at making a D&D-esque board game. Specifically, it is focused (first season at least) in the Western-most lands. It is about six students at the Monastery of Knowledge, an academy for would-be heroes and warriors run by a group of former adventurers and headed up by the Zan'ei-Ken Master, Chou Hyun. The six, in the first season, gradually grow into the role they were born for... that of the world's newest legends, it's new protectors. Of course, the horde of bandits, deceptive magi, vengeful ex-students, bloodthisty mercs, backstabbing 'friends', greedy hunters, a coldhearted ex-demoness seeking her old power, an honor-bound swordsman, a phalanx of Shadow Assassins, and one of the most dangerous demons mankind has ever faced don't plan on making their stride into the history books an easy one.
