So huh. I guess I underestimated my parents (who might even be reading this HI MOM?). I'm allowed to attend the CFUD meetup this month with... well, not much fuss at all. Except for accomodations, which is understandable, but I'm pretty sure I can crash with the people in that area. But seriously, I'd had all these counterarguments against "strange internet people" prepared and I didn't have to use any of them. So hey! Awesome. I get to hang out with people, see the PotC 3 movie, and go to Fanime that weekend.
