Sometimes you just need a week to recover, I guess

Since I actually wrote out my exposé beforehand, the meeting with Maïlys went very well. I had surprisingly few mistakes or else it was too short, which made me very happy, since last time I had preposition trouble. I need to rewrite my second essay though, very very badly, which somewhat disappoints me. However, the rewrite is due by 4/14, so I at least have some time. Good. Becaue I am afraid I will have to write an entirely new essay. This discourages me.

But damn my advisor, who's the head of the French Department! He brought up the subject of study abroad, and you have to take one French class per semester before going anywhere. So if I want to spend a semester in Paris (as he suggested), I'll have to take another French class. But he was encouraging (and this is his department, anyway). His 230 class looks interesting, since it's about modern times - but speaking-intensive! Horror! Or else, improvement. I'm still not sure. I looked online, and if I were to take his class I'd have to drop American Politics and go for World (with Khavita Khory - is she good?), and then skive off Ancient Greek and Rome.

*looks at ratemyprofessor.com* Oh, both Rivers and Khory seem to be very good professors, so maybe I'll go that way and finish distribution come Spring 2007.

DAMN YOU, RIVERS, FOR MAKING ME INTERESTED IN STUDY ABROAD. *looks at website* Sheesh, with the way this is going, I might take a major or a minor in French. o___0

... I think I had a reason why I posted this, but I no longer remember.

french, college, study abroad
