YOU'RE WELCOME. I rarely ever actually put her tutorials to practice, but I love watching them so much. *_*

BEATEN TO MICHELLE PHAN

And yeah, I find that brown-tones work best for me as well. This generally gives me the most problems with lip color, as it has a smaller range than eye color and so much of it is so pink-y.

I love that you all knew who I was talking about even though I was so vague.

So far eyes are the only part of my face I am playing with. Maybe my next step will be lips! In a gentle, neutral color.

Eyes have always been my main thing as well, though as someone who works in ~the arts~ and has an inner drag queen, a lot of my looks probably at least toe the line of what would be acceptable in a normal working environment. I do have a lot that I could use for "normal" looks... I just don't like doing that as much. |D

Also, two words: eyeshadow primer. It changed my life.

eyeliner pencil is great to start with \o/ I started that way too |Da and then I was like "oooh liquid" cause I mean. cosplay. >>;;; and dittoing the browns. my favourite lip tone, though, is this gorgeous...er. It's kind of...brownish-pinkish-orangeish... IT'S CALLED TIGER'S EYE. and it's kind of glittery but is also v. neutral looking in terms of color on my skin so it finishes my face when I wear makeup but doesn't stand out too much .___.a

Liquid eyeliner looked cool |D But was also more expensive and since idk what I'm doing I thought I'd start with the basics.

Is it like lip... stick? Or something less concentrated? help i don't know makeup vocabulary ;;

mine is lipstick! lipgloss is nice if you don't want to use lipstick though, or they make tinted chapstick/lipblam which would be even better for easing in, I guess? idk I didn't wear makeup at all (except for special occasions like...prom...) until I started cosplaying. and even then, I often had people doing my makeup for me for ages @@

Ooh, I like the sound of tinted chapstick. I always have a problem with dry lips 8(

I have an easier time putting on eyeliner if I don't try to draw a line and instead kind of ... dot at the lashline? It's not a crisp clean line, but it looks good enough to me.

WHY DID I DELETE MY DANNY KAYE IN DRAG ICON :(

That sounds like a good strategy. The pencil I got has a smudge thing on the other end, so I can blur it together to fill in gaps.

oooh smudge thing so you can create the perfect "smokey eye" lol

I think I've watched every single one of her tutorials...but I haven't tried them either. There was an ad here for this eyeliner from Maybelline or something that looked nice so maybe I'll go look for it in one of the stores.....I don't know where to look for make-up in Japan lol. I want to do operation learn how to apply eyeliner....but maybe after my face isn't speckled with nasty bug bites :( Ganbatte! Go get those interviews! Hi big. I wish I could do lemur face at you as you try to apply make-up XP
