I don't think I can have a proper opinion of Atlanta, because we were there two days to a) visit the Georgia Aquarium, and b) let my sister visit her boyfriend. And the second day we went to the zoo, which was small but full of nice-sized enclosures. Everyone was active! And we got to watch a large python swallow its lunch, which I thought was awesome.
Somewhat unfortunately, we were there at the same time as Tropical Storm Danny. The South has some amazing thunderstorms, though. The West coast has really pathetic ones, compared to them.
I took ... oh gosh, iPhoto tells me over 270 photos of the aquarium alone. I think at least 100 of those are of the whalesharks. I love whalesharks. I think they are the cutest, and besides, I needed to replenish my lost album. I took a ton of pictures at the Osaka aquarium, buuuut they were all lost when my old computer got stolen (goddamn bastard, I still fume that he broke in).
I didn't really eat traditional Southern food, unless you count the lunch at the large indoor farmer's market thing. I ate goat stew, some turkey, some fish, and ravioli. Goat is pretty tasty; it has a strong flavor kind of like lamb, but I didn't find it as intense.
Then we moved my sister into her college, and it's a good thing we paid the storage people to bring the boxes up to the room because Tropical Storm Danny was raining all over Boston. I only dressed to ward off the rain that comes from the build-up of humidity, not a tropical storm! It turned out okay in the end. Things dry.
I am so sleepy, goodness. I thought I'd conquered the jet lag between the coasts during my college years! I'm rusty, I guess.
