There's nothing quite like answering the doorbell at 7:30pm to discover that it's the French police, asking for you roommate. Immediate thoughts are, "What did she do?" and "Did she do it?"

Only to find out that they're catching up on the robbery report you mentioned back in September.

Which was six months ago.
