It was unusual for Belle to get sick. At all. She was very active, and her immune system had gotten more than its fair share of practice. Even when she did get sick, it was rarely anything noteworthy, perhaps a short cold

Alex was worried and had woken some time before, unsure what to do.

When she was finally curled up, he gently moved to her and wrapped his arms loosely around her, hugging her.

"No feeling good, love?"

She shook her head, shifting so her head was sitting on his lap.

"Uuuugh."

She stuck her tongue out and made a face.

"Apparently I ate somethin' bad."

He eyed her and stroked her back and hair gently.

"I'm sorry, love. Do you think medicine would help? We could call and ask for some to be delivered?"

She snuggled into his touch. "I dunno. Mebe toast will help? Rather try dat first since there are some medications y' can't take when y' tryin' t' get. . ."

She blinked and raced for the bathroom. Not because her stomach was rebelling, though.

He eyed her, and then blinked.

"Belle?"

One minute, baby. She said, rummaging through the stuff in their bathroom. She knew they had one of those test thingies somewhere.

Ah ha! She made a triumphant noise, even as her stomach turned again.

At least she had to use the bathroom. That would make it easier.

He was confused and blinking.

"Um, okay?"

It was, in fact, five minutes before Belle exited. There was a supressed feeling over their link, though the way she'd been holding her nausea back, this was nothing new. It was just bigger.

She slipped something thin and plasticy in Alex's hand, before laying in bed, her hands on her stomach again.

"Huh? What is... oh my god..."

He pounced her, gently and kissed her, hard.

"Ohmigod!"

Pleasure and love flowed over the link.

She laughed and the suppressed emotion burst free, love and glee and pleasure flooding the link.

Her arms wrapped tightly around him, and she kissed him.

This was wonderful!

He kissed her back and stroked her hair and grinned.

"Guess all that practice we did, worked, eh?"

He winked at her and kissed her again.

"Wow... I am going to be a dad!"

She nodded and laughed, snuggling him close. "Y' gonna be an awesome dad. I just. . .I mean I know we were workin' on it, but still. . .it's incredible dat it's happened."

She smiled widely and kissed him again.

We did it! We made a baby! Our greatest project together!

He laughed and kissed her.

"You will be a great mother!"

Our greatest project comes yet... raising him or her, or them!

"Them?" The word echoed across her thoughts. "'S just de one f'r now." She said with a giggle. "Don't get ahead o' me, cher."

He laughed.

"I love being behind you, dear. A good view and I dont have to crane my head around to see it."

She laughed and nipped at his neck, her hands stroking his face and hair. "Awwww, y' say the nicest things. Good thing I got telekinesis. I'm goan be off my balance like crazy."

Going from being tiny to being pregnant was going to take some adjusting.
