Why, why, why would anyone in this world believe some chain letter they randomly received in their email? I'm sorry, old man, but since you seem to believe that it finally getting cold this winter means that "global warming is over,"
Aawww. That's deeply sad. Poor old dude.

I think Pratchett must have been making fun of the way people tend to describe the criminals that enter their lives at some point. They always seem to get described as "about".

Doesn't the cappuccino spill and then leak towards the strange, hard-to-reach places?

Yeah, I just. I feel bad for being so "ARGH" about it, since it was an old dude and probably isn't familiar with chain letters and might be set in his ways, etc. But oh god the way he was spouting off was just so arrogant and it was just like "I KNOW ALL OF THAT IS JUST A LIBERAL CONSPIRACY, A GUY I GOT AN EMAIL FROM SHOWED ME" I just had to keep from rolling my eyes forever.

I can definitely see that. :O I hadn't thought about that before; it's kind of awesome that he built a character partly around that gimmick!

Yeah, it does, but I found it weird because there wasn't any in the not hard-to-reach places, and it didn't look like it had been cleaned off. It was just. In a really really hard-if-not-impossible to spill place, and nowhere else. 8|

Hee~ Monstrous Regiment... I need to buy that book. Like, really, really do. That's the book I converted someone to liking Discworld with. (It was a long car trip, I had it downloaded to my MP3 player, and he (My little brother) was bored. ^_^ I love those books.
