Effing snow

I used to really like snow. When I was growing up, snow might mean no school. Snow was pretty. Snow didn't interfere with my life. I had to shovel the driveway, but that wasn't so bad. Since I ended up splitting the responsibility with my family.

Then I got a car, and now snow is a pain in the ass.

I didn't have much planned this weekend. I was to have dinner tonight with a friend, then lunch tomorrow with my uncle. I ended up cancelling dinner tonight because I didn't want to move my car in anticipation of the snow. Really, I was just being a wuss. The snow isn't even supposed to start for another couple of hours. I could have driven to dinner or, god forbid, I could have walked and used the T.

I have been trying to get together with my uncle for a couple of weeks now. I won't be free for the next two weekends, anyway, so I am pretty disappointed about that. But there's supposed to be a pretty major snowstorm raging around noon tomorrow, so it is reasonable that he cancelled.

Gripe gripe whine whine.

Instead of my planned activities, I played games and had dinner with my housemates. And that turned out to be a good evening, too. Yay for friends!
