Long day of classes today, being sick, sick sick, nap, working... back here... sick... homework. It's all good.
So... New York. What a fun time. Soaking wet, we rode a bus to Port Authority, where we met up with THE GARY. Gary took the three of us (Pat, myself, and an ENORMOUS green duffell bag who I shall call Mike) to his place, and we headed out dressed in our finest to a sophisticate party in Brooklyn, where a room full of kids tried their best to impress eachother. It was fun. Eleven mostly drunk kids crammed into a van driven by the encouragable TIM for the ride back, providing much entertainment. We hit the hay, and awoke the next day for a crazy full day. We headed back to Brooklyn to work on the short film that THE GARY and friends were entering into a contest. I acted as personal assistant to Director TIM, fulfilling my lifelong dream of buying batteries and holding someone's phone. I also watch Vinnie, owner of the super nice apartment we are in, dress as a cowboy. Later that night, Pat and eat the most gi-normously painful cheeseburgers of all time with some Wilkes-Barre based friends. We then head to WEBSTER HALL to see the Faint. This venue was the coolest place I have seen a show. It looked like a haunted house!!! Amazing show, except TV on the Radio. I don't care who likes them. They sucked it really hard. Fighting off my ridiculous cold, I managed to dance dance dance. Afterwards we walk back to NYU area and try to get in contact with THE GARY for a little over an hour. Eventually a drunken Gary and Mark, a professional actor who acted with Pat in movie filmed earlier, pick us up. They hilariously shout things to women out the windows, and we go and eat Pizza. Best quote from the car ride- "Why don't you stop sitting on that seat and come SIT-ON-MAH-FAAAAACE" -THE GARY to a super mean punk rock chick riding a bike.
Mark speaks spanish to the italian guys at the pizza place. Mark and I have a laughing fit.
We go upstairs, watch the final cut of the movie, which was pretty good, and then Pat and I decide to TRY and got to sleep. Alnie and Gary have other plans. They hump us, play loud music, showcase dancing abilities and share secrets. Best quote of the night- "This is my pizza party crown! It says 'King Gary' on it. It's a hat with a paper crane on top, which is wearing a hate that has a paper crane on top, which is also wearing a tiny hat." -THE GARY.
Eventually we sleep for 3 hours, and then we take a cab to the bus station. Our bus station situation is horrendous. Instead of taking an 8AM bus, we end up taking a 10:50 bus. We our so tired that we laugh and argue over EVERYTHING.
Fun fun fun. If you actaully read that entire thing, I am pretty impressed.
I am worried that one of my fish is dying a slow and painful death.
