“I can’t believe I went to that,” Drake grumbled as they left the Gizmoduck Fan Club meeting.
“Hey, you were the one who insisted on coming,” Launchpad pointed out, putting his Official Gizmoduck Fan Club water bottle into his Official Gizmoduck Fan Club knapsack and tossing it over the shoulder of his Official Gizmoduck Fan Club Members Only jacket.
“Yeah, well, I wanted to see what you were wasting our money on. And would you take that ridiculous thing off?” Drake said, pointing to Launchpad’s Official Gizmoduck Fan Club Imitation Gizmoduck Helmet.
“Whoops,” Launchpad chuckled. “Sorry about that.”
Drake kicked a can that was lying in their path. “What do you see in that tin-can blowhard anyway?” he asked.
“I told you, we’re friends,” Launchpad said. “I’ve known him longer than I’ve known you.”
“Oh, great,” Drake snapped. “Why don’t you just go be his sidekick, then?”
Launchpad thumped Drake on the back, sending him stumbling forward. “Are you kidding? I’m yours to the end, DW!”
Drake looked away to hide his grin. That was almost worth the pain in his back, and the pain of that meeting.
“So you don’t have to be so jealous,” Launchpad continued.
“Jealous!” Drake repeated. “I’m not jealous!”
“Okay, DW.”
“I’m not!”
“Sure.”
“Darkwing Duck does not get jealous! He gets, um…justice. Yes.”
“Whatever you say.”
“Oh, and dangerous.”
“Mmm-hmm.”
“Oh, be quiet.”
