things that piss julia off about this power outage
1. one fucking power plant somewhere on the canadian border goes out, and this is what we get? we're pretty fragile, then, and not in good shape if some real problem occurred
2. why are people walking home "dozens of miles"? wouldn't it be better to just rent a hotel and stay there for the night?
3. i bet the terrorists are showing their baby up-and-coming terrorist children just how stupid americans are, and how to hit them where it hurts. all this media coverage surely doesn't help us in the security aspect. it just feeds new ideas.
4. apparently not all hospitals have emergency generators. that just sucks for the folks on dialysis and life support. just horrible.
5. mayor bloomberg didn't make tomorrow a day off. so if i was stuck in a subway or elevator for a few hours, then walked home in the blistering heat, then sat there without a/c, i would have to go to work?
yeah yeah. i know you can find holes in that and there are reasons for things. i just want to sulk. ready, set, go.
