I was thinking, in light of JDub's 3 homerun game (which, I apologize for destroying anyone's flist with my post, but fjadsklj), that I don't think I've loved a Phillie this much since, well, I was a kid and all hearts for Morandini. Many of you know that I try and refrain from getting too attached to any one Phillie, as usually they get their asses traded. And yeah, I love Jimmy and Chase and Cole but star players don't do the same thing for me. I guess because a) they're expected to and b) everyone loves them. I'm just completely crazy about Werth, how he's finally living up to potential, after being bitten by the injury bug in past seasons, and he does it all (albeit not all the time); hit, field, throw, steal bases.
And, this is probably long overdue, but I'm going to go back and make tags for each of the Phillies. I do have one large catchall tag for them but it is getting a bit monsterous. Right now they should all get the tag "stupid fucking assholes". GOD.
Pam asked me about six of my icons, and I talk about them
I don't know, I actually need to get rid of this and get a better/more recent Phillies walk-off icon. I like this one, but it involves A-ROW'D! So it's obviously slightly dated.
PAM WOULD CHOOSE THIS ONE as she likes Maddux/Glavine, and I prefer Smoltz/Glavine. OH NOES SHIP WARZ!!1!~
But I really do like this icon, and find it indicative of the sort of relationship they have.
DIRK. AND STEVE! When they were little! omg young (Germadian) love. I'm not sure what year this is from, however. Dirk still has his rabbit teeth so it's reasonably old.
I just thought this icon was so funny. And Beauty & the Beast is one of my all-time fave movies, for real. Easily my fave Disney movie.
I would use this icon a lot more if I didn't have Mets fans on my flist. Kay made it for me upon request on September 30th.
Soooo cute. Miggy's gone, but aw. Fishie hugs! :D
-I went to Ross today, the one up in Reading. The one in Pottstown (in the mall where I work) had a spring/fall jacket that I like (not love, but I need a spring/fall jacket) and I was hoping that I could find it here too. Alas, no luck. I did end up getting 5 other shirts though. Cuz I need more shirts. I have no room to put anything. There's a huge pile on the hamper out in the hallway of my clothes. If I actually had drawers in my dresser that weren't BROKEN I probably would be more diligent about putting clothes away.
-I also went to the craft store today up in Reading to get the materials needed for my Marlins sign. I was going to get paint but I ended up getting giant posterboard markers, and a folding display board. For 4 markers and the board, it only cost me 19.99. Wootz! I expected it to be more than that! I've already started on it, I'm going to work on it little by little each night.
Then comes the task of taking this damn thing with me on the SEPTA, on the AMTRAK, through New York to the hotel. Ah well. It will be worth it, I feel.
-Guys, tomorrow's Mets/Braves doubleheader features GLAVDAWG pitching in the first game. I have butterflies in my stomach for him. Ginormous butterflies.
-I'm scared for the Marlins, yo. OwingsWebb&Haren. lol. Outlook not good. I just hope these fuckers can hold out, get some help from the Braves, and be ahead of the Mets by the time I'm up in New York next week.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't start crying a little for Jon Lester. I DUN EVEN LIKE THE RED SOX.
