What's scarier is that it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, IE worse than Glavdawg's.
He really doesn't have his own life, because he doesn't ALLOW himself to.
And that's the reason I make fun of him and question why Mets fans really like him so much. I mean honestly if Chase or Jimmy or Ryan or whoever did something like that, not just once, but ALL THE TIME like David does? I don't know how much I'd respect them outside of their playing ability.
Don't get me wrong, the things David does with his Foundation and kids are awesome, and I do think he's genuinely a really sweet, give-to-the-less-fortunate sort of guy, but then it really does make me wonder sometimes, how many things does he do because the Mets suggest it to him, or because he thinks the Mets will reprimand him if he doesn't?
For not "wanting to be considered the leader", he sure does work hard at it.
