I'll win when you retire...or die.

Today's my Monday. :(

This depresses me SO very much, guys. Like, I literally want to cry.

You know what I realized? That the Marlins fans, the tiny number of them down there? They're probably more jaded and disillusioned than Cub, Indians, and Phillies fans combined. How can they not be?

I fell in love with the Marlins in 2006. And you know what else is sad? The only way you couldn't have fallen in love with them is if you were already a Marlins fan to begin with. My heart goes out to the fans who are still there. 2 World Series in 15 years, and here I feel terrible for the franchise. That...never happens. Ever. Ever ever ever.

Jeffrey Loria should be banned from baseball. I know he's not responsible for '97 firesale, but still. He ruined the Expos, too. If you own a team and they end up relocating, you should be put ON NOTICE. IMMEDIATELY.

/emo, sentimental, whatever

Plus Boone's a Nat now. So now they have no 3rd Baseman? I've heard whisperings of Helms going back to Florida in a deal, but that's only if the Phils can find another 3rd Baseman. Of course, Aaaaamezaga! could play 3rd; he can play anything. I've even heard about moving Uggs to 3rd, and then Amezaga could play 2nd.
But then you lose another option in center. Unless they are planning on having Maybin there right away. Which wouldn't surprise me, they're awesome like that, forcing younguns into roles *looks at Hurk sadly*
ETA: D'OH! I forgot about De Aza! Which, he was on the DL most of the year, not my fault. But him as the starting CF? Nothx. Platoon with Cody, I guess. Seriously, I want to know what they're doing with Maybin.

Well now. Clay Buchholz? And Joba Chamberlain? bffs?
Like this totally doesn't mess with my Cloby fic, which starts, you guessed it, in San Francisco. Haha. No. The whole article's cute. Joba's pretty enthusiastic with his typing skills(!)

-So it delights me when my Phillies Google Alerts points me in the direction of former Phillies. But, *facepalm* I don't think the reminder that Dutch is crazy, or that John Kruk is going to be in Lancaster, therefore my first thought being "oh, he's going to Shady Maple for breakfast lunch and dinner" (he's really going for the reception to welcome former Phillie Von Hayes as the Barnstormers' manager), qualify under "things that delight me". Oy.

I'm currently hating on MLB.com, the store specifically. They had BuyOne-GetOnes of Baseball's Best rebroadcasts on audio, right? Some of them anyway. Seeing as how they had absolutely NOTHING in 1993 (which was surprising), and I have 1980 on DVD, I opted for some 1991 World Series action! Games 4 and 7 were the ones available, plus Vin Scully was the announcer, so that's awesome! Anywho. Pam and I keep trying OVER AND OVER to add Game 7 (AKA the greatest game in the greatest World Series evah) to the cart and it will. not. let. us. I go back yesterday and it's not even available anymore. So I'm guessing they ran out, and didn't bother to take it off the website. Plus it's no longer BOGO, so even if it was available, I'm not making Pam spend 40 dollars (Xmas present). 20? Sure. The only way I'm making her spending 40 is if the Phillies are involved. And in a winning fashion. So eff you, mlb.com. Hatechu.

But it's okay. Pam ended up buying the 1993 video yearbook on eBay, for me. Which is in limited supply because they were giveaways. Hiiiiiigh Hopes, they had hiiiiiigh hopes. :D That's hella better, in my book.

Also in complaints: See, I work seasonal at Boscov's. Right? And they don't teach the seasonal employees all the tricks of the trade, most notably HotKey, which is just the computer inventory system, which you use to check other stores for items, or if the item they give you doesn't have a tag. That's fine, whatever. But hey, how about you don't schedule me to work by myself during prime shopping hours if you're not going to teach me how to use the inventory system? I'm seriously freakin' out, guys.
Also, if, when I apply, and put down 25-30 hours as my availability, please give me some sort of heads up that I'll be working 36 hours, okay? Especially if I worked, 22, 23, & 24 hours, respectively, the weeks before. Kthx.

Okay, I wasn't planning on sharing this, but typing out those last two topics made me angry, and this makes me laugh SO hard: there was an article/interview on MSG receiving lifetime acheivement awards, complete with: Undoubtedly, they remain the closest of friends and a highly successful group that has never allowed jealousy to destroy the strong bond they developed while helping the Braves begin and continue their unprecedented run of 14 consecutive division titles, which lmfao no, sir, I think you're full of it. AND THEN THE CHERRY ON TOP was the lead-in/outgoing promo in the video interview with Smoltz (spending 5 minutes gushing over Glavine, which I, for some reason, find way more hilarious than the Glavine's love/hate with Maddux) was Joe Mauer talking about being Volunteers of America and Joe Mauer is just...well he's funny-looking and generally awkward, and no thanks to unlovablehands for making me think so. So I laughed EVEN MORE. Like I bit my hand so I didn't wake up my dad, and I had the teeth marks to prove it.

Seriously, between David and that ^ whole thing, whatever you want to call it, I will never not have something to laugh about, it's true. I love how all my joy in life comes out of laughing at people. This is probably why I love America's Funniest Home Videos unapologetically.

Give me a break people, it's going to be a long week. Too long. And I think this is the longest post I've ever made consisting of absolutely nothing. Have a good day, everyone. :P

best friends fore-ever, if wishes were fishes..., articles and other things meant to share, gypsies tramps & thieves, people being douches/jeffrey loria, work
