So from now until about 5 o'clock tomorrow? Longest 17 hours of my life. I couldn't sleep last night, and I don't think I can sleep tonight.
I TOTALLY CALLED THE MARLINS ROLLING OVER DEAD TODAY. I KNEW IT. I didn't call the bases clearing, although that was PRETTY AWESOME. But where was Scotty O flying out of the dugout, wielding bats in both hands like katanas? Oh, just in my head? I see.
Also, reason #348 why Jamie Moyer is totally my old man boyfren:
"I probably would have been one of those fans out there waving the towel," said Moyer, who will be Sunday's starter against the Nationals, and who skipped a day of high school so he could be at the parade honoring the 1980 World Series champion Phillies.
This is my last post before the postseason, so I have a favor to ask:
Guys, I have a post planned for either result. If it's the bad one, I'm begging you guys in advance, don't give me sympathy. Tell me what an idiot I was for getting my hopes up. Please.
And, I'll exit with this: Me with my Jayson Werth sign from the game against the Marlins on the 8th. I know my hair looks super short but it's actually down to my shoulders. So draw in some dark brown wavy hair and that's what I actually look like. And see the Chutley shadow on the bottom of my shirt?
We were at an awkward angle at the foul pole, awkward for signs at least, and Jayson only ended up playing in left, but I was so damn proud of myself. I'm probably going to hang it up in my room somewheres...
