-If anybody's got some prayers and/or good vibes to spare, please send them the way of John Vukovich. He's been involved with the Phils for 30+ years, as a player, coach, scout...just there. Anyway, he's hospitalized with an inoperable brain tumor and things aren't looking too good.
ETA: Actually. Now, send them his family's way. :( :( :(

-Speaking of those in red pinstripes, I got the Reading Phillies '07 schedule in the mail the other day. It has Ryan Howard on the front saying how he misses the Ostrich Jockey. If anybody on my Flist wants weird Ryan Howard-related items (for instance, a Ryan Howard Santa Snoglobe! Or Ryan Howard Piggy Bank!), let me know because they have Ryan Howard something-or-other EVERY HOMESTAND. Speaking of promos, I need to find a kid to drag along so I can get the Cole Hamels and JRoll bobbles.
I've been talking to my parents about the prospect of us going to Sunday games (or maybe even Saturday games as well), how we used to. It is, or should be, a well-known fact that food is a huge selling point for me, and just like the big club, they're doing Dollar Dog Days more frequently than last year.
Also, my friend the boy is working there again this summer. And I think he thinks I'm mad at him for something that happened but I'm not, it's just sort of, I don't really want to talk to people right now at all. So maybe I could surprise him by visiting him at his stand.

-I'm not too good at reviewing movies, but here's some anyway.

Okay, so. It wasn't a bad movie. It was just. I really liked the characters, especially Borden's wife, Sarah. I was just expecting more interaction between Borden (Christian Bale) and Anglier (Hugh Jackman) in the 2+ hours of film. And the whole final trick just seemed too unrealistic. So I guess what I'm saying is, the movie could've been a lot better than it was, it wasn't irredeemable.

lol, okay. I only saw half of it because I had to return it. And I really liked Ennis, not Jack so much. And I liked Alma a lot, I really wanted to just hug her the whole time. Maybe I'm confused because Jack doesn't seem like the sort of personality Ennis would be interested in, male or female. But seeing him cry after leaving the ranch, leaving Jack the first time made me all :'( And the part where Jack tries to put Ennis's arm around him made me "aw!"
I don't know, I guess if it had been a regular romantic-comedy, guy and a girl, I would have gotten really bored.
The sheep were cuuuuuute. :)

I did think this was reallllly funny. I wasn't expecting to because everyone was like OH THIS IS THE FUNNIEST MOVIE EVAH and usually when people say that, I end up not...thinking that. I wouldn't go so far as to say it was the funniest movie, at least in my opinion. But at least it was short enough that it didn't get old and annoying. Plus, I'm glad I rented it because I tend to laugh more when watching movies on my own, at home, then when I'm at a theater, or watching it with someone else.

Speaking of movies, if you like a good dumb comedy, I recommend Throw Momma From the Train, with Billy Crystal and Danny DeVito. I laughed louder at that (though maybe not quite as frequently) than at Borat.
I also bought 61*. For 2 dollars. Pre-viewed but whatever. I'm excited to watch it. :)

I. Think that's it? Yippee, eye doctor appointment this morning. At least I'll get to get new frames.
