Mark today as the day that baseball doesn't seem so far away anymore.
It'll probably REALLY hit me once the NBA All-Star break hits. Not the game, mind you. The break. That is, there are two games on Thursday, the 15th, before the break. Same days as P&C for a lot of teams. And I will slowly begin to phase myself in, after I go on a basketball binge that weekend. Like um, rehab. Or something.
Annnnnnnnnd of course right after I update saying I have nothing to update about, I find all these articles that are of interest to me.
-Now. We all know that I care nothing of the Pirates, or anything else that has to do with Pittsburgh. BUT. The Pirates have new alternate unis and LMAO. Who else has the sudden urge to order Quarter Pounder?
-Okay, so, in the realm of things that actually interest me.
An interview with David Wright from IGN.com, a gaming website. Apparently he was visiting THE SAN DIEGO AREA *COUGH COUGH OMG* after he got back from chillin' in the DR with Pedro, to do some stuff for MLB '07, of which he is the cover boy. There's a picture of the cover in the article, and, aw. How very David. :9
Anyway, I liked the article because he comes off as not-a-complete-and-utter-tool. And the little blurb about Shawn Green at the end made me literally giggle out loud.
But, of course:

And FOR SOME REASON THAT NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW, same night I find this nice David article, I find one on Mike Jacobs, and how things are going for him this offseason. And, his brother's doin' better and he's all married and back in Florida already and his ankle feels good, so basically, fluffish piece.
BUT guys, it's Jake, y'know? I'm pretty sure I've stated this before but he's probably one of the only, if not the only, non-Phillies player, that I would really follow no matter where he would end up. One of "my boys", if that is the correct term. Perhaps some of the other babyfishes are, but I'd have to think about that.
I just want so bad for him to do better this season, with no injuries, and show that the trade was, not a mistake, but hey, the Marlins got something really good out of it. /being a FEMALE FAN OH NOES

-Of course, I am just all WORRIED about our favorite no-hitter-throwing Fish. SHOULDER DISCOMFORT and MRIs and TENDINITIS! Ani, no. :(
-This sounds like something lovingthecubs or ayrdaomei would do, or at least not find weird, anyway. Either of you ever make "soundtracks" to specific TEAMS. Not pairings or players or whatever. Just teams. Or like, have a certain band/song remind you of a team. Uh, not like I do that. >.>
Or, anyone else, feel free to jump in.
Is there anything less fun than watching your favorite team win a VERY IMPORTANT GAME but having it be on the opponent's feed? No, there is not. x(
