Stranger than your sympathy, and this is my apology

Haha oh man. That Phillies game the other night was FUN.

They were actually broadcasting it on UPN for a change during the week. I watched the first four innings or so, checked in on the Marlins game and ended up watching the rest of it and then I got down in time to see the eight inning on. Haha, my dad's so funny, he starts ranting about the Phillies, like, "They need to trade HIM [David Bell, after he made that terrible throw to home] BURRELL and THAT OTHER CLOWN and..." and haha, my dad's so funny when he tries to care about the Phillies.
But no, he's right, they do need to trade Burrell and SWEARTOGOD if their BIG TRADING DEADLINE move involves them acquiring an outfielder I WILL GO DOWN THERE MYSELF and stab Pat Gillick in the face.
Actually, if you take out them losing, it was a good game. I mean, I'm terribly aware that they don't have the bullpen to get through anything that goes longer than a regular 9-inning game.

Okay seriously, do people even think when they give out trade rumors? All this "Dontrelle to the Mets". Er, what exactly do they need? They're overachieving as it is. These kids are set, and to take Dontrelle away would not make them better, it would make them worse. He's the entire heart and soul of the team, and I dunno. It was supposed to be an experimental year, and they were gonna trade Dontrelle when they decided that every one of their rookies was no good and blah blah blah. But, no.

Last night _squeee and I discussed what sort of hypothetical pets we'd have in our hypothetical apartment, and I want some hamsters. Well, actually, I wanted guinea pigs but they're smelly. So yeah, I've decided that I want hamsters. If I get two, I'm naming them Dutch and Nails and if I have just one I'm naming it Fuckface. Because like you could think of a better name for a hamster.

It is totally retarded of me to be as excited for the Marlins/Phillies games as I am. But I can't help it. I may just die. Like right there.

On a side note that I failed to mention last entry. The other day, in the car, on the way to work, I glanced in the rearview mirror and for a second I actually thought I looked pretty. All I had on was this rather subtle eye shadow and some red-orange-brown lipgloss that I like more because it smells like soda than because I really want to wear it all the time. And I dunno, that's just a nice feeling to have, I guess.

Alright, off to watch the Fish game. On TBS, ew. I really miss Tommy and Rich, I've been gettin' the Turner feed for the series and I realized how SPOILED I've been because "this game has more twists than a country road."
Rich and Tommy would NEVER say that. I hope. x(

ETA: Oh! nycscribbler, you don't seem to be with us anymore, but since this is public you can still see this.
After the Phillies game, I tuned into ESPN2 to catch the end of the Mercury/Storm game. And wow. Wowwowwow. A good time was had by all. And by all I mean me. I just thought you might like to know.
I enjoyed watching a game where players actually, y'know, SHOOT THE BALL instead of doing stupid ridiculous dunks.

if wishes were fishes..., squiddy, wnba, teh phullies, real life
