Clothes, Mutants and The Sun

Just got back from both X-Men and shopping for some clothes. I have to go to Hawaii with my dads family during the summer, so I want to depress everyone as much as possible as revenge for forcing me to go.

X-Men was both really cool and really not cool. I was watching it with my mom, and there were some scenes that were all out making out and one where two characters were all out about to have sex and doing some BDSM shit, it was so embarassing! There was also the problem that she hadn't seen the first two movies and probably saw alot of father-daughter relationships, which involved touching and kissing and stuff, as sexual. Urgh. Then, they turned an otherwise

SPOILER ALERT!!!

very cool Jean, who had died in the last movie, oh so sad, resurrected her without giving much reason why she was alive under a Tahoe-sized lake and still hadn't gotten up until Scott visited, then killing her because she was too powerful--when they could have just used one of the millions of cure needles lying around, instead Wolverine had enough time to talk to her, kiss her, stab her. They also turned Jean into a huge slut, making out with everyone and even making some sexual suggestions to Magneto. Yuck. Rogue, who was my favorite character in the first movie, was shown getting into line to cure her powers during the middle of the movie, then showed up at the end to tell her boyfriend they could finally have sex. Nice going, former role model.

Otherwise, it was very cool. A lot of new mutants were introduced, and that blue girl got cured and was left behind, naked, and her face looked JUST like Erin's, my stepsisters. Magneto left her behind, so then she went to the government and ended up becoming a spy and a force behind Magneto's eventual curing--"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned"

All in all, it was worth seeing, but I would have rather seen it with someone who had seen the other two movies and was a fan.

rant, me, weird things
