Last night was our leavers' party - can't really call it a prom given that there's only 50 of us in my year. Was good all the same, though I had slightly been dreading it. Were moments were I just stood back and thought "it's everybody" - it's a small school and there's still people from my primary so it's a BIG thing. Daddy Coltman did a nice speech about the coffee machine. I was fine until the end when Pete said stuff about french (only 3 of us in that class) and staying in touch and good luck, whereas everyone else had just been "yeah bye". I may post pics, but I was using a dark-ages one use camera.
I fell most spectacularly down t' stairs yesterday (it was at lunchtime, so it can't be blamed on excess or whatnot). All the way down to the bottom from the second to top step. And I was carrying a full glass of water and a bowl which had previously contained pasta. Bowl broke, I had to spend 10 mins picking up onions and carrots from the floor, lovely. The glass managed to soak the entire left side of me, but bounce right to the bottom without breaking. (Twas strange, like when you drop something and it seems in slow motion? I kept expecting it to break but it bounced down to the hallway and landed THE RIGHT WAY UP.) Hurt like hell though.
