Well....
I seriously can't help but feel that I'm totally detached from home.... Seriously. I should really update this thing more often.... I think the last time I updated it was about a year ago..... Damn....Sorry guys! I should give you some updates about what's been going on. So here's a quick download........
In Feb. I went to Key West on a detachment with my squadron. Hooked up with my boyfriend DJ who is also in the same squadron.
We're still together.
Got my first experience on an aircraft carrier in May. That was badass! I worked nights, so it was extra exciting.
I finally got my Plane Captian qualification. I must say if it were an actual rate (aka job) in the navy I would totally cross-rate. It's the coolest job in my eyes. Launching F-18s is awesome. The pilots are badass too.... some are dicks but not many.
Went to Key West again, although it wasn't as fun this time around only because the shifts were different and DJ wasn't there.
Got back from Key West and got chosen to do the job that deals with all of the paperwork and such. Getting chosen for this job is a great thing. It involves a level of trust with your supervisors and Chiefs. I'm still doing that job until further notice. More than likely until all of the Civiilians take over.
I started taking a psychology class through Chapman University. Doing well in the class so far. Teacher is easy and is really nice too. The only bad part about the class are the massive amounts of reading. Even though its one night a week, you get a weeks worth of reading.
I applied for a job at a Starbucks out in town to try to make some extra cash. Money isn't easy to come by, especially with my car payment.
That about summarizes my year in a nutshell. I did come home in July, but it was only for 10 days so it didn't feel like I was actually home.
Oh yeah and my dumbass left my debit card in an ATM at the grocery store! FUCKIN A! I was so mad! The good thing was that no one used it at all. I called my bank and cancelled it right away so now I'm just waiting to get my new one via mail.
I officially do not like California. Especially where i live. There is absolutely nothing to do here but drink yourself into a stupor (i do not participate in this because I've come to find that there is no excitement in being drunk). So I spend my time playing NosTale, watching japanese Sailor Moon episodes, homework, spending time with DJ and running. When i'm not at work that is. Oh and not to mention waking up to the smell of cow shit every morning.
Went to a NASCAR race at the end of August. It was actually a lot of fun. I bought the tickets for DJ for his birthday and I had no idea how much fun a race actually is unless you go to it. Yeah watching it on TV is boring, but actually going its fun. I highly suggest it.

Anyway,I really want to get orders out to Oceana, VA but I talked to my command career counselor and she said that the likelihood of me getting orders cross-country are doubtful. However, if I were to take orders to Guam or Japan, it would state in my orders that I would get to choose what coast to go to when I get back. So DJ and are are thinking of going to Japan and then to Oceana after that. I'm actually really excited about it. From what I understand, there is SOOO much to do in japan! I can't wait to go! (if i get the orders that is)
Another thing, Something DJ and I have been discussing for a little bit. Now this will be a shocker to some of you.....ok all of you. We're probably going to get married sometime in the near future. We'll do all the formalities of meeting the parents and such. Not sure about when it will take place, but I don't think it will be anything extravagant. When the time comes there will be more details. Parents don't know the plan yet so shhh if you do run into them by chance. They will be informed come christmas time.....
Its weird for me to because I always pictured myself as never getting married, so i never fantasized about having the big wedding or anything like that. Just figured I would grow old and die with a black laborador retriever named Indy.
That dog will exist one day by the way.
It's getting really late.... well its only 11:30, but I have to get up at 5:30 for work. The problem is, I'm not tired. I don't even know if I'd be able to fall asleep if I tried.
I have to finish Christmas shopping. I only have DJ out of the way. I already know what I'm getting my mom and my brother, and my dad well.... that's a project in itself. And as for friends, i'll get creative with those.
I went down to San Diego a couple of weeks ago to visit my friend Jenn. I hadn't seen her in a long time so I went down there for a visit. Although next time I go there, I'm going to go on a long weekend. I drove down there on a Saturday morning and drove back on that sunday morning. It sucked.
DJ and I are going to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra on Wednesday. I can't wait to see them! It will be my first concert since... Van Halen.... DAMN! I'm SO LOSING IT! Well not really. I just haven't really had money to buy concert tix lately. I really wanted to go see Metallica, but of course the day they went on sale I had to fuckin' work! and I went there the next day and all they had left was Stevie Wonder section and I was like... "man if I go see metallica, I want to SEE them!"
Ebay hasn't given me any luck either with that shit...... Oh well, they might come around again. Who knows?
I'm thinking of buying a motorcycle. But I also don't want to because I only have a little over a year left here..... I already know what I'm going to do with my car, but I can't fit a bike in my trunk. I might put it in storage. I really want to learn how to ride a motorcycle. The shitty thing about getting a license though, is that when you take the test, you have to get a fuckin California driver's license! I don't want a damn California license!!! I could always change it when i get back to MI, but I almost want to learn badly enough that I'm willing to do that.
I read that FF versus XIII was coming out at the end of December for PS3. I hope it does. The graphics look BAD ASS!!! And they're re-releasing Kingdom Hearts chain of memories for the PS2. I want to get that game! I'm glad I didn't buy it on game boy now!
I really should get off now...
I feel that this entry has been a lot of pointless and useless information that has not benefitted your intelligence at all..... well good it shouldn't! lol
