NYC
NYC was fab
but i got a cold from walking around in the rain and staying up too late.
bus ride = not so fab/ very long. i slept lots on the bus.
walked from bus stop in chinatown to our hotel. not too bad except that my pant legs got unbeleiveably wet. so when we got to the hotel i ironed them <3<3
we met up with scott and emilia's half-aunt...something (rachel's aunt) at this AWESOME resteraunt called Yaffa cafe. animal prints and strings of mini lanterns galore. it was so kitch. and they had the best chai. and very yummy garlic bread. and emilia and i were being very girly with the taking of pictures of ourselves. then we visited scott's dorm. and caught a cab to time square. where we walked around and emilia just HAD to go buy something at the MTV store. and it was still cold and rainy.
and then we saw WICKED!!!!
twas amazing. the singers weren't as good as the original cast (which i know of cause i have the *coughbootleggedcough* CD) but the girl who played Libby on Sabrina the Teenage Witch was Nessarose!!!! and after the show they were collecting donations for some AIDs research fund. and a $500 donation could get you backstage for a tour. but i knew mommy wouldn't fork over that kind of money. damn those rich people. damn them.
anywho. i got myself a tee-shirt. its purple and pretty.
afterwards i was ready to just crash, but instead mom called scott and we went to a club called Fat Cat to listen to jazz.
and the guy on the couch next top us kept taking off his shirt... it was very sketchy. and we got some pizza around 12:30ish. then hopped in a cab back to the hotel.
i kept worrying about bed bugs because of the special i saw on dateline...or 60 minutes or someplace... until i finally fell asleep. and in the morning we didn't get up until 11:30ish. and we were supposed to check out by 12. whatever. we just took showers and watched a movie on the *tee-hee* Lifetime channel. mom had gone to quaker meeting w/ scott and they came back around 1. we then walked back to the bus stop and had chinese food at a place that served cold jellyfish head. i just felt sick and icky all morning and didn't eat much other than rice and half an orange. the bus left at 2:30 and around 5 the bus stopped and i got a cinnabon to make up for the not-breakfast.
flying to colorado tomorrow for another 4 hours is going to be a pain. in the ass. literally. at least tonight i get to sleep in my own bed.
