So the story behind me signing up only now is that last time I tried to sign up I ended up with this captcha:
Needless to say, I wasn't particularly impressed by it and it dissuaded me from signing up.
So today I went onto a friend's livejournal and noticed that she had made four posts that I hadn't noticed in the last week or so, which reminded me that my usually strategy for keeping up with friends' stuff on websites that I don't belong to is to binge all their new posts every few months in the hopes that I didn't miss anything too important.
This struck me as a singularly bad strategy and so I have joined Livejournal mainly for the purpose of reading other people's posts. If I can work out something interesting to do with this LJ, then I will... do something interesting with this LJ, I suppose. xD
