So... today was the last day of school. Weird. I don't know where the idea came from, but today Ange came over and we had this "amazing idea" to walk to school. We'll get sun, we said. It's so nice out, we said. I never once heard us mention the fact it was so effin' long, but I suppose it was in the back of our brains but we just chose to ignore it. We do that a lot.
I don't think I have ever been gawked at quite as much as on this one special walk, I think walking is going on the back burner for awhile. Although, I did give directions to a truck driver who I assumed was asking where Souris was... I hope I was right to assume that, because I sent him there regardless.
When we first got to school, which took a whole 45 minutes by the by, I had to find Mrs Mckinnon-Gray to drop off my ChildCare book to her but she wasnt there so I asked the office where she was. They were no help... go figure. The bitchy secretary told me "you'll just have to come tomorrow and give it to her." Damn, i thought, this just isn't a sweet deal.
After leaving the hostile environment of the school office Ange and I headed up the stairs in one last desperate attempt at finding the teacher, when out of nowhere, to the rescue pops out Mrs. MacDonald. Questioning what was wrong, I gave her the answer of "ugh, I'm so frustrated with everyone." This didn't seem to bother her, as she seemed to be lusting over the fact me and Ange were graduating this year. Sorry Mrs. MacDonald, you're not my type.
It must have been the perfume I was wearing, or maybe the little wink I swear I saw Ange give her, but she took my ChildCare book and put it in my Home Room teacher's MailBox. Ange, you sly dog.
With 20 minutes to spare before our intense class of Bio, Ange and I roamed the hallways, every once in awhile hearing her say something about the school that sounded completely nostalgic.
"This is the last time we'll roam the hallways"
"This is the last time we'll be skipping class"
-Hopefully this is the last time we'll act like such a fag.
We eagerly waited outside our Bio room, waiting with our 10 year old antisipation I thought I ran out of years ago. Oh sweet Biology, why do you do this to me.
Biology recap - Fudgicle, laughing about calling people tanks, short fingers and how genetics is a crock. I'm basically going into my exam with a 63%. WOW, I'm sure mom will definitely be getting me a pony for all this hard work.
For the records, Birchwood gets out before 3... I tell you this because this was a new interesting fact for me. I hope you enjoy.
I saw Cinderella Man last night, I highly recommend it. It's probably the best movie ever... about boxing... with Russel Crowe. It probably would have been better if the guy behind me didn't sound like he had a snapping turtle in his pants when he laughed. You can only imagine how "cool" 4 twenty-ish years olds are until you're priveledged enough to sit next to them.
Tomorrow- English Exam in the A.M. Must bring Macbeth, pencil and/or pen, and some sort of present that can do the job of major sucking up. Any suggestions?
THEN - waoh, i love THENS - Off to the Teacher's retirement party at the golf course. It's going to be a blast, lots of pictures. Ange, you and I are going to look like the biggest Keeners EVER. I heart Keeners, but only when I'm one, otherwise they suck. THEY SUCK I TELL YOU.
*Funny Fact* --- My mom told me tonight that she's going to a wedding tomorrow night. The conversation went as followed:
"Tash, I'm going to a wedding tomorrow night, I won't be home until late."
"okay, what's late?"
"Around 10."
"oh, mom.. that's sad. I don't go out until 10."
Sadly enough she was okay with that.
Lastly, Tonight - I SHOULD be studying BUT I think I'm just going to watch ConAir, and eat popcorn with salt & vinegar shit on it. I think I am a horrible person, but it's soooooo inviting.
On with the popcorn, bring it on.
Stay Gold, Ponyboy
