"The flowers that sleep by night, opened their gentle eyes and turned them to the day."

Someone left a potted bouquet of white chrysanthemums outside my apartment door some time between 11:15 Pm Friday night (when I got home)and 10:30 the next morning when I was leaving. Mind you, they were right in front of my apartment, not out where the mail is delivered. There was no note or identifier to know where they came from.

Later in the day, when I went up to get my mail, I noticed that the tenants at apartment #2 also had a similar looking bunch of flowers outside their apartment. No one else in the building seemed to, though, maybe they already took them in.

I called a client of mine who lives in the same complex but has since moved buildings. He said nothing like that had occurred in his building, no flowers, nothing.

I called and left my building manager a message to ask if the was some kind of gifting going on for apartment tenants for renewing leases or something. No answer as of yet.

I am totally confused about where these flowers came from. Most anyone I know of (family or friends) would have left some kind of a note.

*sigh* Totally confused.

Still, they are pretty flowers. They smell nice too. It was cool that somebody thought of me, whoever they are.
