A Good Weekend.
What a pleasant change to have a good-feeling Valentine's Day weekend. This even without any romance or anything.
Spent Saturday day-time at a party for my nephew celebrating his recovery from heart surgery. Having 20 children in the house, most under the age of 3, was a bit much, but I was happy to be there.
Spent the night with some girlfriends in our pajamas, drinking wine, eating brie and crackers and talking about everything under the sun until the wee hours. Since one of the girlfriends does not live in town, it was great to catch up with her.
Spent today with same girlfriends, trying to watch part of a movie (which didn't get completed) and going over to relax in a hot tub at my friend's niece's apartment complex. I felt relaxed and rejuvenated.
It was unexpectedly nice, and I'm really pleased.
