Summer Camps 'n Conferences is officially done with!!!! (At least for me. I don't know how you crazy people still work there. I know it's money, but geez...)

Apt: Mostly moved in. Just needs a few finishing touches in my room. Oh yeah, and some food in the fridge. I know at least one of the neighbors on either side of me. I don't know if that's going to be a good thing or not yet. There was some drama with getting the key and whatnot, but things finally got all figured out.

Job Shadow: Finally got everything all situated with that. Just need to get clothing to wear there and hopefully be able to find my person. If it's anything like finding the woman who gave me my paperwork then I am going to need a LOT of help.

Weddings: Both weddings went off without a hitch. My cousin's I swear was the longest reception I've been to (and had nothing to do at) and my friend's was the shortest I've ever been to. I swear they barely got the cake cut before the bride wanted to cut out. The pastor that married them told them not to rush through the day, but to take in every sight, sound, smell, and memory. The groom was doing that. The bride, however, didn't seem to be doing that as much. Oh well, it's her day and she can do with it as she pleases. Besides, all the friends ended up going over to someone's house then to Denny's as true tradition would dictate.

Camp: Came and went. It went much better than I ever thought it would. The first day was rather hellacious for me. I sent my girls there half an hour late. Then when I went to the 3rd floor to shower, I got walked in on by some male campers who had overtaken that bathroom. Mind you, the male camper floor was 1st floor. Staff were the only people that should have been on the basement level or the 3rd level. It was ungodly hot that week. Record heat indexes (106-115) plus the humidity. Thankfully it rained on Wednesday/Thursday and we got a lot of work done because it wasn't as hot. I even had to break out the hoodie because I was freezing! I guess being in that heat all summer got me conditioned for that sort of weather. Didn't get my bonus. Kinda sad about that. Also, they are not even negotiating my contract until the 14th of August. Then, I must fill out some paperwork that they are going to mail to me, then I must mail it back and wait for the next pay period to roll around for my check to be issued. All's I can say is it's a good thing I have other jobs that I have been working all summer.

Future plans: Speaking of summer, I think next summer I would like very much to do an internship in London for nine weeks. I know I want to study abroad somewhere, but figuring out everything credit-wise (my last 30 MUST be in residence at GV) is getting a bit annoying. Also, where to find the money? We'll see how everything works out in the end. Stay hopeful.

Writing this really helped my mood. I woke up thinking about something that I really didn't want to and had no idea why I even was since I haven't thought about that subject in quite some time. Hopefully it'll get off my mind and stay there where it belongs.

Can't wait to see all of you again once we're all moved in and whatnot. And for those of you who I won't be seeing that read this... until next time.

Good things:
Getting all moved in to the apt
Relaxing weekend at home
Building the shed (I'm a country girl, get over it)
Phone call from Sara Mary
Fun at the Fair :)
