Cue John Denver...
Wow, the last 2 days have just been great. I have not felt this alive I don't think in 4 months. Yesterday I spent the first half of the day bumming around the house and watching the most recent episode of True Blood. I am so addicted to that show. Got my contacts finally squared away 2 weeks later. Then met up with Anna and her co-workers Jessica for adventuring. We first went thrifting at Second Chance, and they have expanded there store. Squee!! I got a Banana Republic top for $5.00. Amazing. I also got a super cute pair of Old Navy Wedges for $10. I felt like a successful hunter after that. Anna's family fed us which is always good. It was the first time I had steak. It was pretty good, I can't complain. Then we took to experience some of the tastes of Columbus by taking her to Jeni's. Oh, Jeni's oh how I love thee. I think Lavender might be my favorite night now, but I am not sure. Anna is letting me borrow a big old stack of the Sookie Stackhouse books. I am hooked.
This morning I worked my pony. I won't see him till next Tuesday. I am going to miss the brat, but feel somewhat better about being away since Alisha is going to go work him. His hives have now turned into a fungus. Lovely. But I will miss his fungus butt. I needed another pair of shorts and Alisha suggested Plato's Closet. I don't think I have been in a Plato's Closet for 5 years, so I was pretty skeptical, but the thought of possibly getting shorts for cheap sounded to to tempting. I got a Marc Jacobs purse for $8, a pair of Rue 21 shorts for $5, and a silk top from Forever 21 ( it looks like something that MaryAnn from True Blood would wear) for $5. I made out like a freaking bandit.
Work was gloriously short, and I had a customer call and compliment me to one of my manager's. Yeah, I got bitched at by a customer 5 minutes later, but hey it was still nice.
I am really excited about going to North Carolina. This is my first boy free vacation in 4 years! It is super nice to now worry about what to pack and all of that crap. I am going to sleep, read, go to the beach, play with dogs, and see horses. I plan on taking a crap load of pictures. I really do need this. I have been doing so much better with having time to relax, and take care of myself, I think leaving Ohio will be just what I need. Not that I am not going to miss people, but I will be home soon. And now I should get my butt packing. Night!
