Cats rule
I love our cat. I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't have a special bond with a pet in their life. I think so many people seem to view pets as a kind of mobile furniture: they care for them, feed them, take them to the vet as routine, but they don't really connect with them on a daily basis.
Last night, the little girl was in what she deems to be her "cave" (a coffee table with a tablecloth on it), hiding away, all stealthy. I said in a very bright, fake voice: "Oh, my! I just have no idea where she is! Sweetie, do you know where our little girl is?" Well, she came trit-trotting right out from under the table up to me, looked up, chirped and cooed as if to say "Here I am, mommy! I'm right here!"
Okay, I'm anthropomorphizing in a big way, but it was really adorable. :)
