Cirque du Soleil: Alegria
Saw Cirque du Soleil for the first time tonight.
It was jaw-droppingly remarkable.
One can see a list of acts here, but a simple text listing in no way conveys the dynamic of bodies hurtling through space, tumbling toward you, with glitter, lights, and soaring music as accompaniment. It doesn't convey the sense of walking into a human-sized aviary, complete with twittering birds and flying men.
"Power Track" (formerly known as "Fast Track") was my favorite act.
I bought the DVD on the spot, but it doesn't do justice to the reality. I'm hooked.
