As much as I like my beat-up
Canon SD1000, I'm tempted to get something new. I'm looking at:
The
Canon Elph 100HS - on sale for $179 at the local Office Depot, sounds like a steal. 12 megapixels, image stabilization, 4x zoom, 1080 HD, and it's the same size as the other Elphs I've bought over the past - S100, SD110, and my S1000. It'll take my S1000 batteries, too!
I'm not much of a video shooter, but I like the possibility of shooting HD video in a small camera.
It does ISO 3200, too which is nice - between that, the night scene feature, CMOS sensor and IS, I might have a replacement for my LOMO night shooting.
Olympus has some interesting smaller four-thirds cameras out there. I'd like a lens system and to shoot with a fast non-zoom lens again.
I have a Nikon D70 that I need to sell, I should be able to get enough to cover most of a four-thirds camera, and all of a new Elph.
I think I'm convincing myself to go to Office Depot tonight.
