Tattoo Piccies
Here are some post inking pre scabbing pictures of my left arm sleeve tattoo.
In my opinion because it is such a 3d tattoo, static pictures don't really do it justice. I have left out most of the upper arm that has only been outlined so far, when I get that done I'll post the whole thing..and maybe as a wee mpeg ;-)
The concept basically came from this and the idea for the texture from my Dragon Tattoo (and the wing).
Rob sketched the whole thing free hand starting from the top and stopped to tattoo the outline on each section before moving on to sketch the next. The sketching and outlining took 3 hours and then he started shading from the bottom up which took a further 3 hours to reach just above my elbow..at this point we stopped.
Not sure when I'll go back, maybe a month or two..as soon as I have the funds really.
