I used to eat a ton of junk food when I was younger, too, and now the thought of all the crap I ate disgusts me. I used to beg my mom to take me by taco bell every wednesday after dance to get two meximelts and a cherry pepsi, and I looked at the nutrition of it the other day...30 total grams of fat (you're only supposed to have 50 grams of fat max a day). Granted, I was in dance almost 5 days a week then for 2-3 hours a day, it is still disgusting to think about now.

I hate snack food in general because I hate that feeling of eating and eating and not getting filled up. That's why the only "junk" food I have around here is for Wes.

Gross. Thinking about doritos right now makes me gag a little.

when i shoot with my D70 (digital), and i am taking serious photos, i almost always manually set the exposure time, aperture, sensitivity ("film speed"), and sometimes even focus.

casual photography has changed, but auto metering and autofocus have existed for something like 50-70 years.

now, as far as the darkroom goes, it is very different than photoshop, but both are an art.

well the quote was from ansel adams i believe, he used massive cameras that you had to have the blanket to cover the back of the camera and you, his most famous shot was done in one shot, he had to estimate all the elements. i want a shot like that.

ive seen your photos kid

i do photoshoots with people while walking around, and i like to have autofocus on for that. i really cant stand scenery shots, landscape shots, they bug the hell out of me, i suppose just cause its all been done, but if i was to do a landscape shot i'd definitely set the shutterspeed, aperture, etc, and be using a tripod, but i dont usually need to do those things. i agree both the darkroom and photoshop is an art, and photoshop is a more extensive art, but just the hands on aspects of the darkroom seem to make a photograph that much more legit.

pretty much the same thing is happening in music production, were being taugh how to effectively use autotune and piece together vocal patterns, my instructors look upset when theyre telling us how to use it. No longer does a person have to have vocal talent. They could sing like total shit on a recording session. They just have to sing each limne in a song a few times, you cut a paste the best parts of each take together and then autotune the whole fucking thing. Its wrong, but it what the music buisiness has come to. I know its not photography but it kind of fall under the same subject.
