Something to say...

It's been a long time since I updated LJ.  I was never a prolific writer, but I just seemed to run out of things to say. The trouble with not writing though, was that I then forgot to read, and lost track of LJ completely.

And so I'm back, (from outer space, I just walked in to find you here wi....... oops.  That'll be my earworm for the day then.) And I shall endeavour to get back to writing the odd piece about the bizarre thoughts that occasionally traverse the old cerebral.

To begin, I though I would let you know about this dream I had last week.

I was in India, just arrived. I have no idea why or where.
Apparently my apparel was inappropriate in some way, and I needed to be dressed in an indian manner.

I was therefore dressed in a very ornate blue wrap-around robe thing, with gold box-like edging.
However, I also needed a hat. The vast majority of the dream concerned the hat.
It was a sort of turban, but it was huge, almost the shape and size of Alsbeth's hair (Apologies for obscure Rift reference. Just imagine the unholy offspring of a giant 70s afro and a beehive.)
The majority of the material piled on my head was a non-discript blue-grey. However this type of turban was made in two bits, and the hat's colour came mostly from the second piece of extensive cloth that wrapped around and supported the first piece. There was some discussion by the team of dressers as to what should be used. They finally decided upon a material that was a pattern of red and black squares on a white background. This, inexplicably, was called the "Plunkett & Macleane Tartan". I was persuaded to wear it, and then I proceeded on a kind of tour round some historic buildings. Unfortunately at every site there were all sorts of parades and gun salutes that were to do with my Scottish heritage as proclaimed by my wearing of the "Plunkett & Macleane Tartan".

Here endeth the dream.

I can still picture the Plunkett & Macleane tartan turban in my head, and I never, ever want to wear one.
