You know you're in the right class when, at the end of the lecture the lecturer puts up an image, which admittedly did link, if a little tenuously, to the subject under discussion just because he loves the image so much and had to fit it in to the class somehow. Yep, it's a great feeling.

I had it on Saturday when I realised I was willing to brave artic weather and frostbite to spend the day at Hampton Court. It was great, the Privy Chamber pic is tiny, but the room attendant let me stand on bench to get close to have a look as it's too high up for midgets like me.

Heh. I like that as well, the good lecturers can get away with it, I think the bad ones would be unlikely to try (unless they'd heard that students like such things and then they'd try to emulate the action without understanding how or why it works. This is a whole other conversation that maybe would be better on some forum other than LJ)
