I don't like how they imply how they've ALWAYS known how the season ends. I'd like to think they'd be more flexible. Of course, this is because I'm fresh off that dreadful HIMYM finale ... where the show went MUCH longer than they ever thought it would and then they had to Gumbi what the show became into what they had envisioned in season one. It was awful seeing all that evolution wiped out to fit into something that had been filmed six+ years before =P
I agree. I do think it's generally a good idea for writers to have some idea of where they're headed ultimately, but I also think it's important they let the story evolve organically, and rewrite their desired ending if enough variables have changed by the series finale as to make it an unworthy farewell.
