Where to stay in New York

Can anybody on the com who lives in the New York area help with suggestions of a hotel where mamahub and I could stay after the screening Monday night? We can't get a bus back home until around 1 a.m. and that would get us to Maryland around 4 a.m. and Mamahub lives about 2 hours south of me.

I know there are tons of websites with hotel info, but any suggestions from real people would be helpful.
