Well done! You've captured this couple in a very believable moment! Not only was your story woven well, but it has just a lovely mix of humor, angst, and psychology!
I particularly liked: "Feelings are bound to roam after gaining their freedom from long years of confinement." I can relate to that phenomenon you poetically expressed.

First attempt at writing? Did you mean in English...? I mean it was well written and the story was great! You had very few "grammatical oddities".

Yes, first attempt. Though I wrote a short, unfinished fantasy story when I was very young in my mother tongue. I don’t know whether that counts.

I’m glad that you think this doesn’t seem my first ^_^

I’ll definitely will continue with the one I’m writing in my head for over three months now as soon as I have time.
