Mt. Fuji, Lake Ashi, Owakudani Valley

Mt. Fuji + my brother's head. Our tour guide said we were really lucky to get such a good view of Mt. Fuji; the mountain is usually covered by clouds this time of year.

We rode a Japanese pirate ship (ride a ship? sounds funny. board a ship?).

We got off the ship at this stop, and took a gondola from Togendai-ko to Owakudani Valley. It's fun comparing Japanese pronunciations with Chinese pronunciations.

There are sulfur springs at Owakudani Valley. And something about eggs. I think they boil eggs in the sulfur springs. For an hour. Some sort of special eggs. We tried to work up the courage to approach a saleslady and buy some eggs, but considering the fact that we couldn't read the sign to figure out how much the eggs cost or how many we were buying, and we only knew how to say arigato and sumimasen and konichiwa, we gave up the attempt.
