So I'm looking to fly into Detroit on the 26th (yay!) but (un?)fortunately my Dad will be in MD, he will be flying, rather than driving which is good, in that it means I will have a car to drive around in. (More yay!)
But, this also means the car will be chilling in parking at the airport. So how will I get the key so I can drive myself home? (Un?)Fortunately the car is a Prius, so he can't just stick the spare key to the car with a magical device, because the car is unlocked and drivable whenever the key is within ten feet of it.
Somehow people who pull of capers in movies manage to exchange baggage at airports without meeting, but they live in movies. Are there lockers in airports nowadays? Do they use keys or combinations?
Can anyone think of a way to do this that does not involve my dad giving/mailing a car key to a friend who will then have to meet me at the airport to give me the key? It just seems like a completely ridiculous favor to ask someone to drive to the airport with a key although they would be spared the annoying drive to Utica...
Thoughts, intelligent friends? What am I missing?
