HI GUYS
WOULD YOU LIKE TO HEAR A SCARY STORY??
This is a true story. I've told it before because it horrifies me and because I trust the source (one of my English teachers from secondary). Here goes.
One of the sixth formers that my teach taught the lesson before she taught us came to class looking visibly upset. When my teacher asked why (basically she was a wonderful woman, really sweet and kind - Rose Nylund with a brain) she spilled it.
The girl had been coming back from a concert the night before. She was in upper sixth, was about 18 and so she'd been trusted to go all the way to Camden by herself on public transport. It was the early hours when she came back (around 1) and the train was deserted.
She was reading her book when three people got on, two men and a woman. She paid them no mind and ignored them as they sat opposite her, the woman between the men and the men pressed uncomfortably close to the woman for the amount of space they had. She did, however, note that while the two men looked out the window or down the carriage, the woman stared straight ahead, her eyes boring into her. She could only last a stop with that freakshow opposite her before she stood up and moved to a different seat at the other end of the carriage.
A middle aged, well dressed man gets on and sits opposite the three weird guys. He actually meets the woman's gaze and holds it for a while, staring straight at her for a stop. Finally, he stands up and comes to sit down by the girl. She offers him a quick 'wow did they scare you off too' smile but he looks extremely grim. He leans forward and says in a quiet voice so it won't carry-
"Get your phone out and dial 999. You need to get off at the next stop. That woman is dead. Those two are holding her up."
They both get off at the next stop and the man introduces himself as a doctor on his way home. They call the police and they get a statement and take her home.
The two men were not caught, to my knowledge.
