Wow.
Today was beautiful with the first real hint of Autumn.
It dropped into the 70's F (below 26 C) for the first time in the day this year. I could not believe it. My garden needs it, I planted European vegies in my fall garden and they can't handle the heat.
It looks like my garden is doing ok, I am going to have fresh turnips, carrots and mustard. I can't wait.
My mother is on a "organic" kick and that means fighting bugs.
However, the cat killed a large yellow grasshopper today and I have killed dozens. I want to say it is a locust but
North America is not supposed to have locusts (supposedly the settlers kill them off by accident). But it is as close to a locust as a grasshopper can get.
Anyway, I am very proud of the cat and happy with my garden and thankful to God for the early cool.
