Well, I'm not Jewish, and I've actually never been to a Jewish wedding, but if it's OK with Karen you might try to track down Eric Whitacre's Five Hebrew Love Songs. We did it in Community Choir freshman year, and it's absolutely wonderful. It even has a piece called "Kala Kala" (or "My Bride, My Bride"). It's written for SATB, but I think you could do a pretty easy arrangement for one person, given that "Kala Kala" is one of the simpler movements from the piece.

iMeem apparently has the entire piece to listen to here ("Kala Kala" is the second movement), and if you want a recording for personal use I own a collection of Whitacre's pieces performed by The Choral Project.

Just a thought. Karen ought to remember performing this piece, so you should ask her what she thinks.

Gah, fail. Here are the translations. It's actually "Kala kalla" ("Light Bride"), but upon re-listening to the piece, the third movement might be more appropriate.

Sorry, I just have an immense love for this piece. It's so beautiful.
