a little bit of nothing on a wednesday
Sorry I've been gone for a while. I'm trying to get my head around things, get into gear, and other such pointless platitudes.
School starts next Tuesday. I'm half excited, half petrified. but looking forward to the new macbook to go along with classes.
Did everyone see the new iphone???? A-Freaking-Mazing.
So I've been chilling with the hippies a lot more then usual. and not just the ones I've been friend with for a decade or more, but the weird peripheral ones, that lurk in the corners of Adam's shows, stinking of patchouli. It's been interesting. Did I tell you the story of seeing a 7 fingered man play a 3 stringed guitar?? No? Well you'll have to catch it in my next book of short non-fiction.
I can't stand my job. I'm bored out of my mind, and there's all this petty office politics going on all the time. I'm going to try and stick it out with Penn for a few years though, because they are paying for at least half of the rest of my bachelors (like $7,500 a year w/ st. Joes). But I really feel like you don't appreciate how unbelievably boring it is to sit in a tiny cubical all day answering the same 3 questions over and over again.
I used to have a better imagination, but lately I can't picture anything good.
I worked three out of four of last month's weekends. This weekend I am finally off. There will be poker and drinking, and fun time with Jo, and drinking, and maybe some cleaning of my apartment, whilst drinking. Okay I don't have that kind of time or money, so I'll probably cut some of the festivities out, but you get the idea. It's going to be the first time I've gotten to blow off some steam in a while. There are the first flakes of snow coming down somewhere outside this building, I don't have a window to watch. I can live without the wintry fantasy.
