So, I needed to bitch.

Hey! I haven't posted here in awhile. A couple major events have happened in my life: Ericka graduated college (she did not just graduate from college, but she graduated from UC Berkeley), and we moved into what used to be her grandparent's house. Ericka didn't go to her graduation ceremony, so we've been meaning to have a graduation party for her at the new place. The only problem is we are OVERWHELMED with the amount of work we have to do. The house was vacant since Ericka's grandfather had the very first surgery, so it was vacant for about a year, but everything Ericka's grandparent's owned was still there, so we had to clean the place out. We started cleaning the place up before we moved in, and we still haven't finished taking everything out of the house we no longer want, and we've barely started cleaning. The kitchen sink looks disgusting, and the bathroom is pretty dingy. Ericka's mother (also known as mother in law from hell) spent about a month attempting to clean out the house, but all she accomplished was a small pile of junk that she moved into the entryway. This means it was basically our responsibility to empty out the house. This did not bother me in the beginning because I thought it was our duty to do something to deserve such a generous gift from Ericka's grandmother (well, especially me since I don't have years of being  a granddaughter, and I feel kind of like a mooch),  but we can't do it all on our own! At least we can't move all of the big furniture on our own, and if we must do it on our own, then others (ahem, Ericka's mother) should at least follow our system, instead of doing things like adding extra furniture from Ericka's parent's house into an already cramped garage, and forcing us to determine what to do with it. Then when we put it on the large shelf hanging in the garage to make space for the stuff in the house we needed to put in there, and the stuff we had we that we needed to put in there, she acted like a wounded puppy.
