Hello friends that are reading this! Here's to a happy new year for all of us, and wishes for more peace, more love, and more plants on Earth.
I spent a lot of this holiday walking around outside, which was a wonderful thing. Houston was blessed with great weather for birding; cloudy days that were pleasant enough for hiking. I'm so grateful for wildlife preserves. I hope that we realize we need more of them!
I've been thinking a lot about how humans' relationships with the earth and each other can be much more about giving than they are now. The system seems rather out of balance right now, but I have hope that things are going to change for the better as people become more concerned with the health of their bodies, relationships, communities, economies and the habitats they call home.
Anyway, hope you have a good new years eve! I'm going to light some flare paper and make wishes.
