I will struggle to make my point unclear

I thought there had to come a time when you stop investing and start being invested in, but that point no matter how close it seems to be always manages to illude me.
I guess the only question now is: How do i know where to invest my time, my love, my energy? Can it be a person who i may see so entirely fit for and deserving of love, or must it simply be the idea of and persuit of love in general?
