Pitch Black Smiles

Aug 02, 2005 01:21

I found some questions
simmering in the back of my head
with pitch black smiles
tar and feathered
road kill or just a road hazard
and my left arm is killing me
another heart attack
but I think they punctured a lung

bye, bye deep blue sky
I'll see you in a while
with smooth planned styles
and filthy pinned patches over my eyes
painted with smiles
pitch black
and boiling

with a click my soul separates
free from attachment
and worldly desires
vain and slippery wants with wishes
for new and best, greater and extravagant
its with a click
a sound that echoes in my head
cavernous emptiness
filled with pitch black
smiles

deep inhale, my eyes open
to stars of gold
a sky of deep purple
like robes on the king's of old
royalty is beauty, beauty is power
maybe I have it backwards
perhaps I'm just wrong
what does it matter
when your smile
is tar and feathered
pitch black
and boiling

vision blurs
gentle arms caress my face
a slight breeze slips them across my eyes
clothe of the whitest intentions
purest deeds and deepest deceptions
white is just a cover
for pitch black smiles
and simmering liars

I have been lied to
I have been loved too
and I see no difference
between love and smiles
tar and feathered
pitch black
and evaporated
